Cannot speak highly enough about Lou at Rebalance Dog Training.

Had lots of anxiety problems with my staffie…Fear of loud noises, would only walk in areas where she would want to walk and then generally freeze and not walk anywhere else and lots of other anxiety issues.

Lou addressed these problems and after the first session we noticed a massive difference. We have continued with all the tips and instructions that Lou has given us and it’s like having a new dog.

Absolutely brilliant and would highly recommend.

Communication and professionalism 100%.

This year we fostered Louise, a 4 year old Pocket Bully cross. She has spent 4 weeks train and board with Rebalance.

We missed Louise terribly but knowing she needed the help Lou and Em could offer her. The videos of her training and seeing her flourish were what kept us going, she has come home and what a difference 🧡

The handover was amazing and knowing that Lou understands what she needs and then how to show us how to do this has been amazing.

We are so happy with how Louise was looked after and all the effort to let her be able to live her very best life after the first 4 years of her life having been very topsy turvy.

Rebalance have been so fantastic and really have made the world an easier place for Louise to live in. Thank you Lou for all you have done

I can’t thank you enough Lou. Why did I wait so long! Having never trained dogs myself and having struggled with some behaviours from my two pugs, which were very activity limiting, I decided to invest in professional training, found Rebalance Dog Training on Facebook and oh thank goodness!

We have only had one of three 90 minute sessions, I received the training too 🤗 win win. It’s amazing the dog I thought was the most with issues was in fact running on cortisol through lack of boundaries and my other dog being the boss! I was stunned. He was exhausted and has taken to his new routine with command like a duck to water.

His mum, a rescue pug was more difficult the first day but has settled and is doing amazing.

This is life changing! I seriously, highly recommend taking the three sessions, with distance support when needed, we don’t. Wish I had done it years ago! Thank you so much Lou, we look forward to seeing you soon.

High regards

I was at the point of no return with my collie cross Jolene. I’d spent a fortune on training sessions and group classes but it made her worse. A friend recommended Lou at Rebalance so I got in touch. I can honestly say in one 90 minute session, Lou taught myself and my dog how to turn things around by following their techniques.

Jolene is making fantastic progress with her reactivity, and the knot in my stomach from stressful walks has eased massively.

Our next challenge is Jolene’s separation anxiety which is on another level, but I have every faith that Lou will point me in the right direction to sort this problem out. Lou communicates kindly and compassionately and doesn’t judge. 100% recommend Rebalance to anyone struggling with their dog’s behaviour

I’d never use anyone else to look after my dogs.

I have a multi-dog household and I know that their individual needs are taken care of.

One is a nervous dog and another can be noisy and reactive and I know that Lou understands them and can manage their behaviour with a calm and caring manner.

I did a training session with Lou yesterday and it was amazing! It was probably the best training session Lola has ever had. She gets easily distracted and goes sniffing everywhere as she is a beagle. Lou gave us some valuable advice to change our lead and got to keep her in control. Im amazed they kept her in control without using treats or anything. You can tell Lou has has a real passion for dogs and what they do, I would 100% recommend!

Lou was recommended by our dog walker ‘whizzy walkies’ when we mentioned our troubles. ☺️

Lou has helped us massively with our cockapoo in just 2 sessions!!

The things you learn are unbelievable! Not only for your dog but what we could be doing to make him even more anxious!

Lou even went out of their way to come on a trip to his walkies day. 🥹

Giving advice and guidance to our lovely dog walker to make walkies more calm and enjoyable. ❤️

Its not easy but with patience and consistency!!! ❤️

We cannot believe the difference in him!

Would 110% recommend!

Why didn’t we do it sooner!?

Thankyou so much! 🥹❤️

Lou has worked with us at Street Hearts BG for a number of years, usually fostering and rebalancing dogs that are due to go to their new homes.

Lou has a wealth of knowledge and vital experience, gained over many years working with dogs in varying circumstances and environments.

We are always grateful for the incredible support we receive from Rebalance Dog Training.

We are happy to share our personal experience of the successes we have had and will continue to have working with RBT.

After 1 training session with Lou my anxious girl Carmen is already calmer. I’m actually looking forward to people knocking on the door and us meeting other dogs so we can practise the tools and techniques we’ve learned! Lou is an extremely talented, inspiring and reassuring trainer. I am feeling much more confident and positive and know this is going to really enhance our lives and open up opportunities to socialise with our friends and dogs again. Thank you so much Lou!

Would highly recommend Lou. Our experience with all the training recommended so far has really worked well with our highly energetic, needy doberman cross Poppy. Their advice has given us the confidence and the skills we needed to bring out the best in Poppy. Cant thank Lou enough for everything.

Lou is an absolute natural with dogs. There aren’t many people we’d trust to manage our headstrong former street dog and our staffie cross – but Lou is so competent, knowledgeable and intuitive, we have every confidence in them. We wholeheartedly recommend Rebalance Dog Training!

Very highly recommended!

Both our dogs are rescues and can be nervous and a flight risk but we know that when leaving them with Lou and Em they will be safe and happy. Their experience, knowledge and skills with reactive and nervous dogs is second to none and means we can relax knowing that they are in the safest pair of hands.

Lou sends pictures and updates throughout the stay, usually of our two snuggled up with one or two of their dogs or out on a walk with their new friends, which is an absolute joy to see.

We didn’t have a holiday without our dogs before we found Lou and now we can go away knowing they are happy enjoying a little holiday of their own.

I honestly can’t rate them highly enough, we wouldn’t trust anyone else to look after our girls.

Thanks to Lou, my beautiful pack of now 5 have turned a corner in just a few days.

Living in Devon it’s a tad far for a 121 but Lou managed to break down some boundaries (for me) to work towards, explaining all this during a phone call. Lou then wrote in depth things I had to change in our daily living. We haven’t even scratched the surface yet and already my dogs are more calm, relaxed and content.

I am so grateful beyond words. Wish you guys lived closer, (would love to do work 121) but little miracles every day.

Thank you wholeheartedly 🐾

Lou is, without a doubt, the best dog trainer you’ll find, especially for reactive dogs. Over the past 6 years, Lou has helped me with three dogs I rescued or fostered, each with issues related to reactivity towards other dogs, bikes, and cats. From the very first session with each dog, I noticed improvements.

The tools and techniques Lou provides have made walks not only manageable but truly enjoyable for both me and the dogs. It’s amazing to witness the deep connection Lou has with dogs and how quickly they respond. You’ll see your dog relax, build trust, and begin to unlock their true potential.

Lou’s knowledge, patience, and ability to tailor each session to meet the specific needs of both the dog and owner are unmatched. Lou always explains everything thoroughly, ensuring I understand the techniques and provides exercises and examples to practice at home.

Once you see the progress your dog can make, you’ll gain the confidence to achieve what once seemed impossible. I can’t recommend Lou enough to anyone struggling with a reactive dog.

Our rescue dog, Ruby, had shown signs of reactive behaviour. We were on the lookout for someone who had experience of this and who could look after her when we had to go away.

Enter Lou from Rebalance Dog Training. From the start they were amazing, answering our questions and putting us at ease. They also requested information about regular feeding, routines, medications etc. to ensure a seamless stay for Ruby. So off Ruby went for a holiday with Lou and Emma at their home. Since then, it’s the only place Ruby goes to if we can’t take her away with us. We get regular photo updates and can see that she is happy, enjoying walks and the company of other dogs, hogging their sofas and chairs and enjoying tummy tickles and attention.

We cannot recommend Rebalance Dog Training enough for home stays. Many, many thanks as always Lou. You and Emma are amazing.

Absolutely LIFE CHANGING training for our pack of 5 rescue dogs, and boarders & walkies crew!! Lou is an outstanding dog trainer – we had 2 sessions; the first and main one was with 9 dogs in our house and on a walk. I had another short session for just me and our newest rescue to help her walk better on lead.

The things we achieved in the sessions are just unreal. We now drive a peaceful, calm, quiet van to and from our walks (I didn’t think this was possible!). Our dogs, walkies dogs and boarders are calm when we need them to be, there’s no barking when we go out the house, no reactivity on walks, NO PULLING ON LEAD at all now. People regularly comment what well behaved dogs we have!
…What you learn will baffle you. I had no idea that my behaviour was often confusing or exciting the dogs. Lou and Emma make it all so clear and simple – you just need to be willing to listen, understand and follow through after. My partner and I support each other even better now too because we’re both on the same page.

Just a few things Lou helped us achieve:
No pulling on lead at all anymore
No dogs jumping up at us now
We are able to settle a hyperactive dog (in the van and when boarding in our house especially)
WE NO LONGER HAVE DOGS BARKING IN OUR VANS!!! All dog walkers crave this, and it’s 100% achievable.
No barking at home/when out the house or on walks
Our dogs listen to us. They all make eye contact and know what to expect from us
Our dogs and our client’s dogs are so much more chilled and ‘polite’ around us.
Thank you so much for all your help Lou & Em. We will never stop recommending you and handing out your business cards. The results speak for themselves ❤️ x

Lou’s skill in working with dogs whose anxiety and behaviours challenge is so welcome! Their calm approach set Rusty at ease immediately- and he (and I) have both been thrilled to see him meeting other dogs and having fun. This is amazing progress for Rusty in a very short time. He had been unable to manage in dog socialisation in day care previously and his behaviour was limiting what we could do. I’m also growing in confidence too, and trying new ways to support him in enjoying life outside the house. Thanks ❤️

I wouldn’t leave my reactive dog with anyone else. They understand him completely and my dog fits in with the rest of the pack as if he has no reactivity problems. He comes back so chilled and happy. They really treat him as part of the family alongside dealing with his issues. They have been a godsend for us!

Outstanding dog trainer who worked wonders with my reactive dog!

I can’t say enough great things about Lou! My dog, Hutch, was very reactive to dogs and it was affecting my daily life because it was to a point that I was afraid of going for a walk. After trying different trainers and wasting my time and money one of my friends recommended Lou and after that all went better.

From the first session I could see the progress of my very reactive German Shepherd. I still have the videos that they sent every session to see the progress of Hutch. Honestly I was amazed to see (on a video) how they managed to pass by a massive dog with my very reactive dog and there was no reaction at all from my dog.

What stood out most was how Lou could take my dog for a walk with other dogs with no problem at all. I was so happy to see my dog playing so happy with other dogs.

Also Hutch could stay with Lou and a lot of dogs when I am away and Hutch has a great time socializing with a lot of dogs and cats.

The most difficult job for them, I think, they had to teach me how to manage Hutch’s reactions. It wasn’t a temporary solution; I am still using their techniques they taught me.

The transformation in my dog’s behaviour has been nothing short of amazing. We can now go for walks without constant barking at other dogs, and my dog is much more relaxed in situations that once triggered intense reactivity. Not only did Lou help my dog, but they also helped me feel more confident and empowered as a pet owner.
If you’re looking for a trainer who has not only natural talent for dogs but also kind, patient, and truly dedicated to helping you and your dog succeed, I cannot recommend Lou enough. Thank you for transforming our lives!

Lou and Emma have such incredible insight into what makes dogs tick. We let so much better equipped to handle our Tula’s quirks even after a single session, and we have really noticed the difference since implementing some of Lou’s suggestions. Heartily recommend!

Cannot recommend Rebalance Dog Training highly enough. Lou has been working with our rescue dog, Willow, for about 2 years, first walking her, and then boarding.

I had tried to do some training with Willow previously, but kept giving up. Training is hard! Lou came to help with guarding. Willow is reactive, and was constantly barking at people coming to the door, and had started nipping at family members. Lou taught us some core techniques for dealing with this which felt really difficult at first. What they taught us was that we had to be consistent… and this has paid off. We now have a much calmer, more relaxed dog, and a quieter, calmer house. Lou is all about the dogs. They’re not interested in booking in session after session or pinning you down to a plan. Lou will help as long as you need them to. They’re always there with help and advice, but if the issues has been resolved, then that’s it. 100% recommend Rebalance.

Lou was brilliant when I adopted an older reactive dog that had been living kennels for four years. They were patient, intuitive and skilled and did so much to help Marley become the loving, happy and confident dog he is now. They just ‘get’ dogs who are struggling and are there when you need them. Very grateful for all they did and still do.

Lou came to help us last year with our cocker spaniel, we were really struggling with home life and how to deal with his puppy behaviour. A few hours with Lou and they managed to give us some really helpful training tips. Lou was great at working with Barney and us. They were calm and really understanding. Everything made sense one we had a session with Lou and we really enjoyed putting everything they gave us into practice. Home life became so much easier and we began to enjoy having our little pooch so much more! Highly recommend Lou, they are fantastic!

I cannot recommend Lou enough. We had reached a breaking point and let we had nowhere to turn and that we had no choice but to rehome our dog. Lou helped us with food guarding and got us into a routine, helping us to see what mistakes we had been making. It meant that our dog could stay with us and we could not be more happy. To say Lou is a natural with dog behaviour is an understatement and they went above and beyond to help us and still helps us now. They are very kind, and understanding, and fearless when it comes to assisting a nervous dog. I honestly feel Lou could help any dog and family in need

Lou is a fantastic trainer, and has worked wonders with us and our collie cross. He’s gone from being super reactive to mega chill, from the support of their training.
Would highly recommend them!

They are amazing. My Sophie is a very anxious dog and I have and many of my own issues which has made it very stressful training my dog. They really help us both my Sophie has gained in confidence when around other dogs and so have I. They never judge only ever support, advise and guard. They love dogs and truly understand the importance of boundaries and discipline but love and kindness as well.
Can not recommend enough.

Lou did an amazing job with Leo and gave us so many tips on how to manage his behaviour both inside and outside the house.

Leo is very reactive when it comes to seeing other dogs on walks, so Lou brought a dog to the session, which was so useful as we could see how quickly his behaviour changed based on a few small changes we made.
I’m amazed at the amount we dog out of 1 session, and there was a difference in Leo straight away.
100% recommend. Thanks so much Lou.

Emma and Lou helped me whilst I was recovering from a bad injury taking my rescue GSD on group walks. She was very reactive to strangers and they very quickly won her round to the extent she waited excitedly for her pick up. As Ellie was a rescue I had no idea what she would be like on these walks but it was amazing to get wonderful feedback about her behaviour. Thankyou so very much. She is definitely missing her group walks so hopefully she can join in again soon. I cannot recommend Emma and Lou enough they are extremely experienced working with dogs, and it truly shows! They have such an incredible way with nervous dogs and dogs that could be reactive helping them become more secure and feel safe. Thankyou!

They are fantastic with my reactive rescue. Really reads her well, introduces her to new playmates, no fuss no muss. My fur devil loves spending time there x x

Lou saved the day when it came to Sid. He used to be reactive, absolutely chaotic around dogs and so boisterous. Lou introduced him to lots of new dog friends (who he learned to play with and respect!), helped me understand how to manage him on the lead and showed Sid so much love & fun. He always loved staying at theirs if I was ever away and got SO excited for his weekly walk – I’ve never seen anything like it. Lou is so kind, committed and a second home for all the dogs they support – thank you Lou (& Em!) for being the absolute best.

Lou has been brilliant with my dog 100% reliable and trustworthy. Highly recommend.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Lou for all her work with my sometimes reactive dog Mia in just a few weeks the change in her is incredible!
Lou you are a star xx

Lou is absolutely dedicated to the health and well being of the dogs in their care. They are able to offer their services to even the most reactive of dogs. Will be using their services every time we need help with our dog.

Our rescue dog is very wary of humans but she loves staying with Lou and Em. They are fantastic with her, they really understand how to manage nervous, rescue dogs and we wouldn’t leave ours with anyone else now. Their knowledge of canine behaviour is exceptional and they have always been willing to provide advice. 100% recommend them.

Couldn’t recommend more. We feel so at ease leaving our dog with them knowing she’s getting looked after. We get regular updates and see Pepper enjoying walks and relaxing with the other doggies. Excellent service!

Lou is an absolute wizard with our reactive Romanian rescue dog. They know just what reactive dogs need to thrive, and it’s such a relief to find someone we can completely trust with our silly hound!

Did an amazing job at looking after my two pups whilst I was away, thank you so much

The great thing about Lou is their willingness to adapt their services to meet the needs of each individual dog. I asked for their help with exercising my Libby, who is starting to develop a bit of a weight problem that we are struggling to manage through diet alone. Lou was happy to take on the challenge and came up with doggy bootcamp – a walking / running session that will increase in intensity each week and hopefully help her to shed a few pounds. I’m not fit enough to run with her myself so I’m cuffed to bits with this solution and can’t wait to see the results! We’ve only done two sessions so far but both times Libs hasn’t wanted to come in the house again when Lou dropped her off so I think that counts as a recommendation from her too!

Lou has been amazing with my dog BeeBee who regularly visits them. BeeBee can be either indifferent or reactive to other dogs and also barks a lot randomly. Lou has helped Bee to stay neutral and calm and actually enjoy and embrace being around other dogs…she will even actually play with some dogs now!
BeeBee adores Lou and is so excited to see them…and that means everything to me. I know Bee is in the best possible hands.

Lou is so patient, understanding and a natural, dogs just gravitate to them. One of the few people I’d 100% trust with my hairy tribe
